| I dont think anyone ever wakes up one day and says Im gonna be a Durable Medical Equipment repair guy, but in my case it pretty much happened just like that. In 1986 a good friend of mine, who was soon to be moving out of state, wondered if I might be interested in taking his place at a store in Dearborn, Michigan. called Trudell Pharmacy. On the verge of being newlywed and fresh out of a job, I jumped at the chance. My new boss, Larry Sirois, sent me to every DME seminar and certification course known to man and thus my career was born.
In the Spring of 1996 I started working as the new service manager for a franchise store in Livonia, Michigan. called Amigo Mobility Center. Its now 2009, the Amigo has long been changed to A-1 and Im happy to say that not only am I still the Service Manager, I am also a Co-Owner. My goal here at A-1 is very simple, to be fair and honest with my customers and do the best job I can, period. So, if you need your Scooter/Power Wheelchair fixed, or a Lift installed, or ya just need some air in your tires, you know where Im at...just ask for Joe.

I started my career with A-1 Mobility Center in May, 2000 being hired in as the administrative assistant. Having come from an accounting and medical background this type of business seemed to be my calling. I watched and listened to our customers needs and soon found myself learning every detail of the products we sold.
I became the Mobility Consultant in March, 2005 and have enjoyed working with our customers every day. I have attended seminars with insurance companies as well as our different product manufacturers. I am a member of Citizens Against Aging (CAA), VisitDetroit, and we are the exclusive mobility provider at Cobo Hall, and a member with the Livonia Chamber of Commerce.
My dreams really came true on September 3, 2008 when I became co-owner of A-1 Mobility Center. I look forward to serving our customers old and new as well as helping you with all your mobility products and equipment.
